Homemade Flat Breads

Flatbread-TK

Home made flat breads are so easy to make and I wish I would have known about this sooner so I am sharing this technique with you all now. This recipe only takes a couple of ingredients and a few minutes, so there is no reason not to try them.

In a medium mixing bowl, mix together all ingredients until dough forms. If the dough seems too wet, just add a little flour until it is workable and not sticking to your fingers. Cut dough into equal pieces, depending on what size flat bread you are making and roll out dough to about 2 millimeters thick. These fill puff up a little while frying them. Once the flatbread is rolled out and ready to go, place in your hot non stick or cast iron pan and fry for 30-45 seconds on each side. They will puff up a little while cooking and get brown spots on them. Remove from pan, stack as you complete them and cover with a CLEAN dish towel so they stay warm until you are ready to eat them.

Enjoy these with whatever toppings you like, they are very versatile. Personally, I like to spread the flatbread with a really good hummus then pile on shredded chicken, cucumbers, kalamata olives, tomatoes, green onion, feta cheese and a nice drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Yum!! Thanks for cooking with me and learning new techniques.
