Dark Chocolate Dipped Orange Slices

Dark Chocolate Dipped Orange Slices - Tuttle Kitchen

Dark Chocolate Dipped Orange Slices are so refreshing and really hit that sweet tooth spot! If you are in the mood for a sweet treat that is reasonably healthy, you all need to make these. We always have cutie oranges on hand for snacking and lately we have had chocolate chips in stock, because I've been on a baking kick. This is going to be a short post, because these are especially simple to make. Let get started.

Start by zesting the cutie oranges, and set the zest aside for some Dark Chocolate Orange Zest Bark. Now peel the cuties and discard the peel. Separate the oranges into wedges and place on parchment paper. Next you will add the chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring the chocolate after each round in the microwave. You will only have to do this 3-4 times before the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Dip half of each cutie orange section into the melted chocolate and let the excess drip off before placing back onto the parchment paper. Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle a little salt on each candy, this part is optional, but it does add another element of flavor and texture. Once you are done, place the orange slices in the fridge until the chocolate hardens.

Now my favorite part! The chocolate has hardened, so we can EAT THEM!! In my opinion, there are not many combinations better than orange and chocolate and I am confident you will all love these. Thanks for making sweets with me! Stay sane during this time of quarantine, I'm getting through this by stress cooking and baking and eating chocolate 🙂
