Cider Bomb

CiderBomb-TK

Well, it happened...we got our first snow up in the mountains. With Colorado deciding to rob me of my fall season, I decided we needed a nice warm drink with a kick. This calls for a spiked apple cider, tis the season after all and this drink warmed us to our core. I found multiple versions of this drink on Pinterest and they all sounded so tasty, I had to do it. Bottoms up and lets jump right in.

Cider Bombs only take 2 ingredients, so they are very simple and pocket book friendly which is my favorite! I would consider these a seasonal drink, but honestly you can drink them any time of the year. It's your life, live it how you want to, but I personally like cold and refreshing drinks in the summer and hot drinks in the winter. My other go to during these cold months is hot cocoa with peppermint schnapps, but that's another story.

Measure out your cider first and pour into a saucepan. Turn the heat to medium and bring cider to a simmer. Turn the heat off, then pour the Fireball into the cider. If you put the whiskey in before heating the cider, it cooks most of the alcohol off and you will just end up with cider. Stir the Cider-Bomb so everything is well combined, ladle into a mug and garnish with an apple slice sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. If you're feeling extra fancy, dip the rim of the glass in caramel then sprinkle with coarse sugar before placing that apple on the glass. Drink up you guys as we get ready for this next snow storm! Thanks for mixing with me!
